I will not go back to that particular store

I entered into the Dollar General store in Statesboro, Georgia on Northside drive. The time was 9:41As I entered the store, I was met by the closing manager.

She stated to me that I had four minutes to shop. Being skeptical about the time, I asked what time it. I had just gotten out of my vehicle and come into the store. I knew it was not 10:00.

So she told me it was 9:41 and that the store closes at 9:45. I assured her that I would not be in the store pass 10:00. So she stated you wont be in here at 10:00. I understood that she might have been tired, and she was ready to go home.

I didnt understand her closing the store at 9:45. But anyways, I hurried on to get my items. I would say it might have taken me two minutes to get them. I got to the register and I asked the cashier what was store was this.

No one said anything. I assumed no one heard me. I asked again. The cashier stated she did not knowBut the manage stated I am not going to argue.

I stated to her, I was not arguing. And that it was ok and I would get the number to headquarters. The cashier rang up my items. I presented my military card to her.

She did not know how to run the check. She stated to the manager she didnt know and said she never did a check before. The manager attempted to run the check. She later stated to me that the system was down and I had to come up with another means of paying for my purchases.

She told me I was not going to get the items. I told her. I need those items. So I pushed my items close to the door to go out and get my drivers license.

As I got half way out the dot, she came behind me and pulled the door to lock me out. My arm got caught up in the door. I screamed that my arm was in the door. She let up off the door a little.

I asked her to please allow me to get my drivers license from the door of my car. She tol me I was not coming back into the store. The time was still not 10:00. She stood there and as I attempted to come back in, she pulled the door.

The following day I was told by the Morning manager that the system was not down. She also stated to me that the store is not suppose to close at 9:45 and the night manager would get into trouble. She also stated to me that this was her third time getting into trouble. There is not a reason why the store should close at 9:45 when the hours state 10:00.

There is no reason why a manager should be so nasty. Why has management not done anything to her? The other manager stated this was a third time. I think I have been discriminated because of my age.

If it had been a young person, would she have stood at the door and man handed them the way I was. There is no place in our stores for this type of behavior. These people are here to serve us. I will not let this go.

I will go through the channels. I have been discriminated. I am definitely going further. My name is Bobbye McReynolds.

I have filed a complaint with headquarter. Someone was suppose to keep me informed on the situation. I have not heard anything. I feel hurt and let down.

I am praying for you. Where did you go to school.

It was approximately 15 minutes before the store closes. The store closes at 10:00. You are most interested in what happened at the DG, so you must be that person. You don't get this angry for no apparent reason.

And we have yet another person who has posted on a public internet forum, that assumes the person who commented must automatically work there. No dearie, this site is for people to post complaints about ANY business and people are allowed to comment their thoughts.

No one works at this DG or probably even lives in your area. Heck, people posting may not even be in your country!

The employee at the Mexia, TX store, who worked and closed the store and opened it this morning on 11/28/24 and 11/29/24, is horrible and talks terribly to children (11-year-old). She also had an issue I witnessed about three weeks ago with another customer, and I also saw her take pills at the register that day.

Coupons did not come off

I could not understand the representative. I speak country.

She spoke with a different accent and I don't think she understood me, nor did I understand her. She stated that I didn't purchase two of a product and, on the other coupon, I received the wrong amount of Purex.

I will return these products and purchase the correct ones tomorrow. It isn't fun to have to write this much!

I am trying to obtain the DM's name and phone number for the DG stores in Oklahoma. I have been promised a callback three separate times from the guest services department and I am on day three of waiting for a callback that was to occur within 24 hours.

I have already reached out to DG corporate and informed them I have filed formal complaints with Consumer Affairs and the BBB. I will take this matter to small claims court if necessary and I assure you I have the documentation to win, albeit the cost to DG will far exceed the refund I am seeking.

I am not interested in speaking to your sad sack guest services department for a fourth time. I want to hear from the DM by the end of the day today, 11/04/2024, or I will be contacting my attorney with respect to a court filing.

Discriminated and verbally abused by store manager

Today at approx 11:53 a.m. my boyfriend and I seen no bike racks outside the store.

Nor was there anywhere to simply lock up our bikes. We continued on into the store with our bikes and parked them up front to the side safely out of the way of anyone. Norma seen and watched as we did this and respectfully took our backpacks off and left them with our bikes. No one ever said, "YOU CANNOT PARK YOUR BIKES HERE".

We were about 5-6 mins into our shopping when suddenly very loudly over the intercom we heard, " The customers with the bikes in the store, you need to come move them to the side NOW" the sound of her slamming phone down made my ears hurt. Before i could set my items in cart to go up front and show her they were already parked on side like she was requesting, Cynthia with her hand on her hip and other hand pointing at me yells from front of store to where i was and rudely demands i get these bikes out of her way now, i could not park them here. I asked where do i safely park it when you have no where for me to do so and then proceeded to let her know she was being rude and she didnt get to talk to me in this manner. She screams she doesnt care get my bike out of here NOW turns around arms in the air get out now right now or i will call the cops.

I asked her to please do so cause now she has made me fear for our physical safety as well as safety of my bike. We proceeded to our bikes as she slams office door and yells again to get out of here NOW and im calling police on you. I looked around and saw customers with their mouths open in surprise at her behavior. Scared and embarrassed we get our stuff and begin rolling bikes out of HER STORE when Norma approaches us and asks if were ok.

She apologizes for her behavior and says dont worry she just having bad day she threatens everyone with police but she never calls. Again she asks can she help and says she is so sorry we didnt deserve that. I said thank you but please i will be out friend waiting for police. Minutes go by and now this nonsense is interrupting my schedule.

I call sheriffs and they say to call corporate. This manager has always been abusive to me. The last time it was 111 degrees outside and my dog and i were walking home when we desperately needed water. When i went into store to buy some cynthia begins yelling is that service dog?

Get out of here youre not allowed in here with that gross dog. My dog weighs 5lbs and is 25 yrs old and was dehydrated. I wasnt allowed to purchase water and there was no water spickets anywhere on your store prop. Needless to say we both were transported to hospital for dehydration.

I never complained i just prayed for the manager. This time I am complaining and am talking to an attorney. This is a serious situation. This side of Tuscon is very byicycle oriented.

Most stores have bike parking and if they dont they allow patrons to park them inside safely out of the way. There is a huge bike theft problem here in Tucson and ours have been stolen 3 times while on a lock. It gets expensive when trying to be good to the planrt and not use gas to get around. Tour de France is a huve event that brings millions to Tucson.

Your manager should be made aware of how important it is to be bicycle friendly. Also needs help on how to properly communicate and achieve her goal. Being verbally abusive gains nothing. Her actions have triggered my PTSD and everyone i know is now boycotting Dollar General for the way we were abusivy discriminated against.

I would like an apology accompanied with a decent amount gift card and would like to see Dollar General put bike racks for us bicyclers.

I look forward to speaking with you and having this issue resolved without a lawsuit. Have a good day.

Pretty bold of you to bring your bikes inside without asking for permission. I have never seen another person do that.

I am not surprised because google shows that you live in a tiny trailer in a trailer park! No wonder you want that $500 gift card so badly! You already received an apology, so stop groveling for more. You will not get a gift card.

Either you or your boyfriend should have stayed outside with your bikes, while the other went inside to get whatever you needed so badly.

That is just common sense. I am glad when you called the police they didn't entertain your nonsense!

They do not like to follow the rules that EVERYONE else has to follow, and claim racial profiling. Honestly people who make false claims like this need to be sued, departed and whipped across their lying faces.

If they felt the need to call the police on you it was because of YOUR behavior. Also if she really threatens to call the police on EVERYONE, how are you being profiled? You really are STUPID. If the same rules applies to EVERYONE it is NOT racial profiling.

Also you are NOT entitled too a $500 gift card because you are TOO STUPID TO REMOVE your bike. If you can't afford something do without. No one owes you a dime let alone a $500 gift card.

If you want $500 worth of stuff GET A JOB and buy it yourself. They should sue you for making false claims fo profiling..

Dollar General has a nasty Store

The Dollar General at 1500 Pleasant Hill Rd #114, Duluth, GA 30096 The prices are good but this store is always nasty and cluttered There are uboats all over you can not roll a buggy down the aisles and you can never find anything! There are empty food wrappers and drink bottles all over from where the employees eat and drink while they work that are left on the shelves and now there is a swarm of honey bees buzzing all over the store and the manager does not realize some people go in to Anaphylaxis shock from a bee sting!

The only way to fix this store is to fire Rosa the manager make Elizabeth the manager and close the store for 2 weeks and allow the staff to take it apart give it a deep cleaning and restock it! This would be a great store if it had a manager who did not cuss the staff and custumers! Rosa is the worst manager that has been at this store in 14 years!

I have contacted Dollar General repeatedly and my calls are falling on deaf ears! All this neighborhood wants is a clean and neat well stocked store that you do not have to walk around boxs and Uboats to meander without falling on something that is in the floor and speaking of the floors they have not seen a mop in many months!

Dispute over refund

The manager was extremely unprofessional. She told me I couldn't exchange an item I purchased on Christmas Eve.

I have not heard anything from Dollar General.

The manager threatened to harm me. I will never shop at a Dollar General again and will encourage others to do the same.

I thought I would share that the employee at dollar general who is Hispanic and bald is scamming people. A friend of mine was asking if they had a specific phone in stock and he said yes then went to the back came out and before scanning it proceeded to pull out phone and weirdly look at it quickly and then scanned it putting back and I paid then gathered the receipt and left.

Got home to find it want a phone with a cord. No booklets or charging box Nothing so go to turn on phone it was completely dead and then when it charged it was locked with a personal passworrd... I went to return it to the same guy who said the receipt did not want to scan and there was no record of the purchase so he gave me a gift card.. I checked the card on line only to find that the card expired in 1952...

please if anyone can help us get justice let me know... the corporate is very hard to get ahold of and I found it odd that no matter how many time I call I get connected with the same lady makatla who at this point we don't get along ..

I am in a battery wheelchair it seems every time I try to shop at the laweranceburg store have of the aisles are blocked with today was the last time I will visit a Dollar General just so sick and tired of not being able to get what I want Im going to just shop somewhere else and make sure I tell everyone I know why I am not the only one in one of these chairs

The cashier behaved in a physically threatening manner, she was slamming doors, causing a scene, and even had another customer act like she was going to handle me. All of this while the young lady was 100% wrong.

There was a coupon for ice cream that was 2/$6 the coupon read 2 480 oz cartons and the carton read 1.5 liters, but this girl had zero emotional control and was behaving like a child, she even threatened to NOT ring me up! It would be hilarious if it wasnt true!

After, googling the conversion and showing her my phone, she didnt even apologize. This world is getting stupider and stupider by the day..and all of these people can vote, so I have no hope for the future.

Refund problems

I bought a space heater from Dollar General in Lake Panasoffkee. They only had 2 , one was damaged, so i bought the other one.

Got home to find the one i bought was broke as well. The lady was rude, and said they had no more heaters to go to another dollar general, so i tried returning it in Bushnell Fl. and that girl said all there's get stolen, but it has to be returned to the same store. So, no one has a heater for me to swap it out, and neighter will give me my $ 26.00 back.
