Money stolen

On 11/12/2025, I went into Dollar General to load my Credit Karma debit card, and the clerk told me that it was approved and gave me my change back ($6.05) from the $220 I handed him on a $213.95 load purchase, where he gave me the difference of $6.05. The problem is that that account had been closed, so I'm sure there would have been some kind of indicator on his end that the transaction was not approved.

The only thing that I would assume is that the only thing that happened is that the representative had pocketed the funds because it did not show up as overage at the end of the night/shift. Pissed off because their rep stole my money.

Unless you have proof that he pocked the money, he can sue you for making this claim.

There is no “indicator” on his end. Once he tenders your payment, the register waits a few extra seconds while Credit Karma sends back an authorization. That is indicated on your receipt.

Hi, I did an order on August 20. It cost me over £60, and I'm still waiting.

On different tracking apps, it says delivered, but I have not seen or received anything.

Cash receipts/who cares/NO CASH BACK FOR YOU

Well, what the company could do better as first of all call me back because I was told that they would call me back or they would email me or something about the issue when I looked up the number for dollar General corporate office and then I added in there you know I had a cash receipt. What do I do?

They wont give me my money back. I ended up on you guyss website pissed off.com or something that I was told that my message would go to them directly. I still have not heard back from anybody from dollar General I had a receipt. I spent well over $100.

It was for Cash two days later maybe three once I have the chance as Ive been busy, my mother had open heart surgery and I was tending to her. My mother got home from the hospital and item she had asked me to pick up. Were not right some of them so my daughter said she would take them back. She tried to do that.

The store manager told her she had to have an ID?? With a receipt?? Ive never heard of that it was not a debit card receipt it was not a credit card receipt. It was well over $100 cash that I had paid so since she does not have an ID she came back home.

I was about to walk out the door to go catch the bus to go see my mom again and I decided that I would just run up there really quick on the bicycle and try to do it and return it as of course my mom is looking for her change because she wanted items returned. The lady tells me after she looked me up and down and was really rude which by the way, my daughter said she was very rude with her kept staring at her. My daughter has a medical condition and she has scars all over her body. She tries to hide them and we have spent years convincing her.

She didnt have to be that way but once again someone made her feel belittled and judged and like she was not as good as the other people in this world so of course I had an attitude when I went there but I contained myself and I explained that she came in there to return some of my items and she had to have an ID the lady like I said it was very rude and she said ummmmummmm yeah like all ghetto and rude and obnoxious and she was a white woman. She was a snob. She was arrogant and she said yeah I did tell her that I said OK well theyre not her items. They were mine heres my ID she said well well and Im like OK well she starts taking the stuff out of the bag with two or three items I cant remember and she starts taking out of the bag like OK shes gonna do something and shes holding them like they got something on them like she doesnt wanna touch them all the way and she gets done touching and shes like yeah yeah ummmm yeah well Im not gonna do this return I said excuse me she said why cant you take them back to the store?

You bought them at there are two of them on this road in Jacksonville Florida one at one end but one all the way at the other I said well as I explained to you because I told her the situation about my mom and being in a hurry I said I am on a bicycle and I happen to live right behind this store I just happen to be in a car that day and my friend needs to stop at dollar General and thats the one that she wanted to stop it so that was the only reason why I was there and I said you cannot just do this I mean im not asking you for your blood or a lung or a kidney maybe a little compassion as I dont have time to get all the way back down there and I need to take her her money back she starts doing the same crap and she finally she said no Im not gonna do it. I said can you tell me why so? I know what to tell somebody when I call she said Im just not comfortable with it. Youre not comfortable with what I dont understand.

I dont need her to be comfortable. Shes a manager of one of your stores. I need her just to do her job. I had a cash receipt.

I need to return some things. Its not like it was an old receipt. Its not like it was worn out receipt and I needed my money back and a little compassion for me not having to ride the bicycle an extra two or 3 miles when I was trying to get back to the hospital that sums it up but no one would give me a call back so no Im not satisfied with this call and Im not satisfied with our general and you know what? It may just keep me from going back at all.

Im sure the news media might even appreciate hearing it because I asked her I said so you can just deny returns and be nasty as heck as you want to be judgemental and rude as you want to and she said said like it was nothing came out her mouth quite easily yes we can okay so there you go so again I appreciate at least a phone call back again. My number is 904426****.

As long as you entered the store and went immediately to the register (not walked around the store shopping) with your ID and receipt she should have processed the return. Most all retailers require ID for returns even with a receipt. They enter your ID info and disallow returns after so many.

Okay so what happened was I realized it was almost 10:00 it was 9:49 to be exact I was almost going to get into the shower when I threw my clothes back on because I just realized that I didn't have the dog food that I needed and my dogs were hungry I had none at all seeing as it was almost 10 I needed to hurry up and get up to the dollar store which I live 5 minutes away from maybe 5 minutes I would actually say about 2 minutes if that. anyway I get up to the dollar store it is now 9:52 on the DOT walk up to the door it doesn't open and I get back in my vehicle to look at the clock at this time it is 9:54 i look around no 1 in sight but not only has this happened tonight on the 8th of October it has happened before this at least three times now okay I didn't say nothing the first three times because the fact is I know sometimes people want to get off early every now, an again but when you're working for the company that you're working for whatever their policy is, is what you follow you're not allowed to deviate from that if you know what I mean okay I'm not even a stickler about this stuff like I said I didn't mention it until now but this is getting to be f*****ridiculous I'm tired of going up there and them not being open when they are supposed to be open if I would have been late then that would have been different but no I was not and the last time it was about 10 minutes before so if y'all don't run y'all's business like you're supposed to then I guess y'all will continue on with that now if y'all are real businessmen an women then you should do what the policy says I've heard of people getting fired before because they didn't do that at Dollar store so here's where it is hopefully this gets to the right person because this is four times within a month (within a month I repeat)because I'm tired of knowing that I need something getting up there in time with a little to spare and there's nobody in there to check me out because there's nobody letting me in the door before that 10:00p.m. on the sign for the designated time of close remember there have been people fired for this *** so if you don't want to get fired or you don't want bad reviews because I'm not the only one that has had this happen and the place where I live in golinda, Texas the thing is everybody goes like right at the end because they remember hey I need this before they close even if we're late your policy is still anything after 5 minutes you know you got to close that would be understandable but I'm tired of realizing that I'm missing items from my shopping day and then I have to go get the item because I missed out on getting it while I was in town seeing as we live in a country town on the outskirts of the actual town where you can't go back in and get it that's why they put one out here that's what I'm talking about people making it harder for other people it just ain't right not only to realize that the people have closed the door early because they want to be *** heads it wouldn't have repeated four times already so I'm urging someone somebody this needs some real attention about this situation something has got to be done I'll leave it up to y'all who are bosses managers in charge or whoever sees this *** cuz really it's so damn ridiculous I'm an American who works all day to come home and chill and relax can't relax if I can't get everything that I need from the store that is right near me literally down the block so I'm asking you please take care of your employees on the policy and try not to have it happen again because the fact is it says open at 8:00 closed at 10:00 that's what it needs to be unless you change it that's what it needs to be not to mention that y'all also have two to three more minutes and y'all's employee or excuse me company time to account for before it actually turns 10 so like I said please take care of this matter it is very irritating and aggravating I don't want to have to rally people up and go against people but that could be the possibility at least this time

User's recommendation: Unless they change their ways I recommend that you don't try and shop late if you need something because you are without being as we're in the country and whatnot the only store around is the Dollar general so it should stay open until that 10:00 mark so my recommendation is wait to see if they change that *** cuz if they don't I don't recommend going

We were at Cedar Grove Tn ( store # 30821) yesterday. My mom purchased 14 stems of artificial flowers (green dot) Sign and flowers were outside at the front of the store.

She purchased them 8 @ $3.00 each and 6@$1.00 each. The sign said all green dot are buy one get one free. She was given a $9.00 discount when the discount should have been have off. That would be $12.00 on the $3.00 flowers and $3.00 on the $1.00 flowers.

For a total discount of $15.00 but was only given a $9.00 discount. She was overcharged $6.00 . Transaction # 79225 7/29/2025 @ 2:45 p.m. You can contact her at Shirley at 731.424.7487 .

She did not enter her phone # at the store. I am her daughter Renee , she is 87 years old and did not realize she had been overcharged until last night. You can contact me at 731.613.8003 to let us know how you are going to resolve this matter. We are to far from the store to drive back.

If we can go to a closer store and get her money back let us know at one of the phone# above. If you are issuing a gift card to her in the mail please call for the mailing address. Also I called customer service # twice this morning and you are have issues with your phone line. I could hear them only part of the time and then they would be gone from the line .

That is why I am texting this message now.

I purchased a couple of items at the Dollar General in the town of Jenkinsburg Georgia in Butts county. One of them was a cigarette lighter and I was told by the clerk I had to produce my driver's license which I thought okay cuz of my age even though I am 70.

She asked me to turn it around and scan the barcode on the back I asked her why and she said I don't know Dollar General just wants us to do it. That is insane. She could have just looked at my date of birth on the front why do you need to scan my information into your database?

I went home and googled it, apparently it's legal in Georgia. I just don't understand why they need to scan my id .

You’re being paranoid. Whatever governing authority might check that DG’s tobacco/paraphernalia sales is just looking for an “ID scanned” match in conjunction with the sale.

DG has no access to your license or the database it is in nor does whoever checking that DG is asking for ID. Your credit card company and store reward card are what link to you personally.

You googled it and it's legal in Georgia. You had the option to not purchase the lighter. Now you know in the future, Dollar General will scan your license when you purchase lighters, so you can buy them somewhere else.

The law is that you have to be a certain age to buy certain items examples: lighters, tobacco, fireworks, alcohol, certain OTC medications, spray paint even certain movies/video games by scanning the driver’s license it shows that we checked the id

I contacted Dollar general directly regarding their truck hitting my vehicle and they never contacted me even after i called several times... The company should not be trusted.

I was stuck in traffic with a Dollar General tractor-trailer semi in front of me, and the traffic was not moving. The semi rolled backwards into my truck, and the driver never stopped, got out, or did anything; he just drove away. I called Dollar General customer service, and they took down all my information, but it's been a week now, and I have heard nothing back from them.

Over $200 worth of groceries and I was short and they would not refund back to OTC card. Been standing here with my finger up my *** waiting for cashier to add up to a certain amount and deduct the rest!

This was supposed to be a box order from Dollar General that was going out of business. Great prices.

You bet. Never received a single thing. Just keep getting the run around.Ive tried contacting Dollar General about this but they won't respond to me. Now this place is call OrderService 24.

I did get to look at an order summary and it was 43 DB vintage bags. Not what I ordered at all.
