I find it funny that all you 60+ ladies and gentlemen are the first to complain about the younger generation and how they feel entitled etc., yet here you all are feeling you shouldn't have to follow the store's policy on tobacco and alcohol sales.Presenting your id is not a difficult task.
There is no reason for these complaints other than you feel you shouldn't have to. What?! Reaching a certain age doea not exempt you from rules in life. I was a manager at a gas station that required its employees to card under 40.
If 6 cashiers failed to do this in a year the manager was terminated. So basically because they didn't want to anger a few entitled spoiled older people, I lost my job. You cant trust people's judgement when it comes to your career. Suck it up and show your id.
Even if they change the policy on a company level, I will continue to card everyone. If you don't like it, move on.
