Each dollar General gets a fixed bunch of hours to give to the staff. The Assistant Managers and the Lead Sales Associates, known as 'Key holders' at most DGs , get the hours first and what's left is dispersed to the Sales Associates. The more Sales Associates there are the fewer hours available.
I'm assuming you were a horrible employee.
Curiosity, What's it be like working at the Dollar general? Is it fun?
Is it boring? Do you feel like you are getting underpaid or overworked. What would you do if you witnessed someone shoplifting?
Would you follow around customers who appeared to be nervous or who were wearing backpacks? Please Answer, we would all like to know.
Working at dollar general can be fun at times, but most of the time your stretched between running the cash register, stocking shelves, and cleaning the store. It's a lot of running, then add the antagonistic customers to mix.
You may not be acting rude towards them but that's what they perceive and then of course they call corporate and complain. So to answer one of your question, yes, you are overworked and underpaid.
