Dollar General Corporation - Bad customer service
My husband and I needed to return a pair of shorts baught last week that were to small. We shop at this DG 3-5 times a week and have never had an issue the manager on duty was mad he had to do the return because his drawer was already closed out then the shorts rang up at 4.00 and we paid 15.00 so we decided to take them and find the receipt the gentleman was not nice and as we left the store a clerk and the manager started talking about us as if we caused a problem.
I have worked in customer service for 16 yrs and would never treat a customer in such a manner. This was extremely upsetting seeing we didn't even make a huge deal about the price being different we simply asked fiber could bring them back with a receipt at a later time.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Customers are almost always wrong. The phrase "the customer is always right" is a just something that is said when the company is right but will bow to the will of the *** customers that can't read signs or keep up with their receipts.
CUSTOMERS ARE ALWAYS RIGHT ,SINCE WHEN DID THAT THAT CHANGE ?ESPECIALLY A REPEAT CUSTOMER THAT SHOPS 2-3 TIMES A WEEK FOR 16 YEARS SHOULD BE TREATED WITH RESPECT . THIS DOLLAR STORE HAS MANY ISSUES STARTING WITH THE STORE MGR.
WHO DON'T CARE ABOUT REMARKS MADE BY HIM OR HIS PEOPLE ACTING AS ASSISTANTS AFTER HOURS. THE REMARKS MADE BY THE STORE MANAGER FILTER AND INFLUENCE THE PEOPLE THAT WORK FOR HIM CREATING DISRESPECT AND IF UPPER MANAGEMENT DON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT CORRECTING THIS PROBLEM TAKE IT A STEP HIGHER THAN THE DISTRICT LEVEL.REMOVE THE MANAGER ELIMINATE THE PROBLEM.
So you've worked in retail that long and expect them to give you full price refund without a receipt? Ok, pal.
You didn't learn much in 16 years if you forgot the receipt. *** customers like you are the ones that cause employees not to get their assigned work done during a shift.
Wow you sir are a miserable soul... If you had any brains you would have realized my complaint wasn't about the receipt or wanting a full refund it was about how we were treated. Either way you don't treat customers that way.
