I purchased Hidden Valley Ranch.

The cashier dropped my change on the counter instead of placing it in my out stretched hand. I addressed the issue, she claims she does it to everyone. She didn't do it to the caucasian woman she checked out just before me. I was was so offended by it that I left with out my purchase.

I went back to get it she gave it to me, then she proceeded to try to explain her earlier actions. I just looked at her and looked away. I started talking to a friend who was still in the store. When I told my friend that I was getting ready to go, the cashier yells to me: "bye, have a great rest of your day".

I looked at her and said "don't play with me...". She said, what??? I just said "have a great rest of your day ". I said just leave me alone.

She said "you don't want me to say have a great day?" I said I don't want you to say anything to me. The cashier turned and stomped away. I turned to say something else to my friend when another woman came to me asking is there a problem. I said no, there's isn't.

I continue to talk with my friend and the woman identified herself as the manager and said again, ma'am do you have a problem? I answered again. No, I don't have a problem. The said manager then proceeds to say "I heard the dialog between you and the cashier about the money.

I said so you heard me ask "are y'all still doing this to black people?"; putting their change on the counter instead of in their out reached hand? The said manager said, yes and she does that to everyone. I just looked at her and said "yeah, right ", anyway I don't have a problem, I'm just talking to my friend. The only thing I initially said to the cashier, prior to her taunting me was: "did I leave my purchase here and did you have it in a bag".

The other came from her trying to convince me that she was a good person. Then when she started taunting me, I told her to stop talking to me. These are not the days where black people are going to be quiet when they're mistreated.

She's in the wrong line of work if she's racist. Working as a cashier in a predominately black neighborhood.

I would like to file a complaint or at least let someone know the horrible shape the store in my area is in and the actions of the employees. There is no stock on the shelves but yet plenty in the aisles blocking other aisles.

This store has plenty of employees just no one that cares. A week or so ago my husband went in our local store and got the fourth day in a row no cheese or Tea so he asked them do you have any in the back cooler 3 employees standing around said yes but it's to much work to get to it.. He then proceeded to tell he had 5.00 bucks for anyone that would go get it to no surprise they all jumped to go get it. So the point is he paid them 5 bucks to do their job that their already being paid to do.

Not to mention the guy before him walked out and left his buggy because no tea.

My 5 year old granddaughter fell and busted her mouth because she went to hand me a roll of paper towels and stepped back and tripped over boxes that shouldn't have been in the floor. We live in a country area we have a dollar tree and DG nothing else for 15 miles.

Dollar General markets clear plastic wrap under the name 'TrueLiving'. This product is made in Thailand.

Both the packaging and workmanship are of unacceptable standards. The cardboard making up the carton is of too thin a material and deforms as soon as you pull the plastic wrap across it. Worse, the equally too thin metal cutting edge, easily pulls away from the carton.

Once this happens, the roll of plastic wrap is essentially trash unless you have the patience to cut it w/ a pair of scissors every time you need a sheet.

This is a classic example of the industrial engineers having reduced the manufacturing cost to the point this is a non-functional product. Hire a competent engineer or bring the manufacture of this product back to the States where it belongs in the first place.

As a huge supporter of your stores for more years than I care to remember, I would like to bring something to your attention.

My local store is located at 2147 Watts Bar Hwy, in Spring City TN 37381. Let me preface this communication with the following.

We were, and still are, so thrilled to have this location in our very rural area. It has been a Godsend to us all!

However, the customer service at this store, has been on a gradual descent for quite some time now. More often than not, the aisles are terribly cluttered with stock that needs to be put up, shelves that are bare of much needed items, so on an so forth.

The parking lots are always cluttered with trash, cigarette butts, and all manner of unnecessary debris. I know that's not the fault of your employees, but I do feel like it should be the job of someone to ensure that at least the entrance of the store is properly maintained.

Lastly, the last several times I have tried to make a quick dash into the store for a couple of items, there has been a very long line of frustrated customers waiting to be checked out.

The self-check out has been closed each time. I was told that "Corporate has made us turn them off because they wanted for their customers to have a more personal experience". Hmmm

So I'm just wondering. If Corporate wanted their customers to have a more personal experience, they shouldn't have put the self-check out in place to begin with.

Instead, should have two manned registers going at all times.

I personally love the self-check out registers, unless I have my cart full and need some additional assistance.

So the reason for my rather lengthy communication is to find out if the self-check out is actually supposed to be closed. ?

Tonight at the dollar general 4458 nw 50th st location in Oklahoma City,OK there is a employee at the cash register a caucasian woman i dont know her name but she was rude and unhelpful. My husband always goes to this store to spend his ucard and they always scan it twice with no issue as it pays for the food items.

She particularly told us she cant scan it twice because her manager said so and proceeded to tell us to pay the remaining 17 dollars after she scans it once which he didnt have so the line is backed up and she telling us she cant put the money back on the card if she voids the transaction and cant remove any items although the ucard has the full amount to pay then she scans it again with an attitude and says she cant ever do it again. She is unprofessional and loudly wrong and treats low income african american people like trash.

I dont like her attitude and how she doesnt honor the ucard patrons. She needs to be fired for lying on her manager and refusing to serve all customers with dignity and respect.
